Dated October 29, 2018 Ubon Ratchathani Highway District 2 was established due to the increasing number of maintenance routes under the responsibility of Ubon Ratchathani Highway District 1 and Si Saket Highway District, exceeding their capacity to effectively manage them. Therefore, for the benefit of the government, the Department of Highways issued an order to establish the Ubon Ratchathani Highway Maintenance Office 2 (Det Udom) on November 1, 1991, using a temporary office on Highway No. 231 at Km. 0+293 – Km. 0+583, Ubon Ratchathani Bypass, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province (which is the current location of Ubon Ratchathani Highway District 2 office). Later, the Department of Highways issued Order No. J.1.9/9/2535 dated July 31, 1992, establishing it as Ubon Ratchathani Highway District 2, located at the same site until the present. It currently occupies an area of ​​42 rai and 14.20 square wah.
